The correct injection material depends on moisture, movement, crack width, access and the repair objective. Flexible polyurethane is typically used to control active water ingress. Rigid structural epoxy may be specified for suitable dry, stable cracks requiring bond restoration.

Should my crack use polyurethane or epoxy?
Polyurethane is generally selected for suitable active water leaks because it remains flexible. Structural epoxy is rigid and may be specified for suitable dry, stable cracks. The crack must be assessed before choosing.
Can crack injection permanently stop every leak?
Injection treats the selected crack or leakage path. Water may move to connected cracks, joints or penetrations, particularly under continuing hydrostatic pressure, so additional work can sometimes be required.
Can you inject from one side of the wall?
Often, yes. Drilled injection packers can provide access from one side, depending on wall thickness, reinforcement, crack configuration and site conditions.
Does a structural crack need an engineer?
Cracks involving movement, displacement or structural concerns should be reviewed by a qualified engineer. Structural epoxy work should follow the engineer’s repair requirements.
