Survey
Review each room, moisture conditions, existing flooring, traffic, drainage and access requirements.
Prepare
Mechanically prepare the substrate and remove weak concrete, contamination and incompatible coatings.
Detail
Repair cracks and defects, then form coves and complete drains, penetrations and terminations.
Install
Apply the specified primer, quartz build-up, grout and finish coats while controlling cure and access.

A multi-area institutional flooring plan combining different quartz systems to suit pool-deck and change-room service conditions.
Room-Specific Sikafloor Systems
The scope included more than 4,000 square feet of Sikafloor Quartzite HDB trowelled flooring for a pool-deck area and approximately 2,000 square feet of Sikafloor Quartzite Broadcast flooring for change rooms. Approximately 1,400 linear feet of seamless cove base was included at required wall transitions.
Mechanical preparation, concrete repairs, cove work and flooring installation were organized into a coordinated multi-phase plan of approximately 20 working days. Final reopening depends on completion, inspection and the cure requirements for each installed layer.
Preparation Creates Performance
Resinous flooring cannot compensate for weak, contaminated or poorly prepared concrete. The substrate is assessed and repaired before installation.

Quartz Flooring FAQ
Is quartz flooring suitable for pool decks?
Quartz resinous systems are commonly specified for pool decks when the selected build-up, texture and detailing suit the service environment. Drainage, slope, barefoot comfort and slip resistance must be reviewed.
Can different rooms use different quartz systems?
Yes. A heavier trowelled system may be specified for one area while a broadcast system is used elsewhere. The room use and specification determine the appropriate build.
Why is cove base important?
Cove base creates a cleaner transition between the floor and wall, removes a difficult inside corner and protects vulnerable edges. Height and material must follow the project requirements.
Do you test concrete moisture?
Moisture conditions should be reviewed before resinous flooring is installed. Testing and mitigation requirements depend on the slab, existing conditions and specified system.
How is reopening time determined?
Reopening depends on preparation, repairs, number of layers, product cure requirements, temperature and intended traffic. The sequence is confirmed during project planning.
