Polished concrete is created through a sequence of mechanical grinding and polishing steps—not by applying a glossy coating. The process can include initial metal-bond grinding, concrete repairs, grout filling, densifier application, progressively finer resin tooling, and a stain-resistant protective finish.
Available appearance options include cream, salt-and-pepper, and exposed-aggregate finishes, subject to the existing slab and construction history. Sheen levels can range from matte and satin to high gloss. Aggregate exposure, patch colour, stains, cracks, previous flooring lines, and slab variations remain visible to different degrees and should be reviewed during the site assessment.
